SkillPlan is a nationally recognized leader in workforce development programming.
To combat labour shortages, they partnered with SRDC and hired our team to create targeted campaigns that encourage underrepresented groups to consider a career in the construction industry.
PROJECT CATALYST
SRDC and SkillPlan were looking to launch a social media campaign that would spread awareness about unionized skilled trades. The specific goal was to target underrepresented groups (women, newcomers, indigenous peoples, and youth) within the sector, posting on the social media platforms of their building trade union partners across canada.
Our team used SkillPlan’s footage of trades workers to design and implement a campaign that lasted several months, spanning various social media platforms.
The campaign brought awareness to newly built provincial trades websites, and helped provincial partners organically grow their social media presence.
SRDC was also able to use the results and analytics to complete their research and share a detailed report with their important stakeholders.
Videos were created to target underrepresented groups, addressing their specific roadblocks and concerns
Graphic content included educational carousels, which were tailored to each provincial partner’s brand guidelines
A detailed scheduling plan with assets and captions was catered to each partner
Set up of UTM codes (used to track the performance of campaigns and content) and personalized analytics dashboards gave SRDC and SkillPlan clear data to work with at the end of the project
